朝日が毎日見える。Sunrise to wake up with.

朝日が見えるんです、毎朝。この角度だと見えきらなくて、窓から身を乗り出すと全部みえるんだけどね。笑　運気あがりそうでしょ？ようやくインターネットが復活したくさく、、ブログ更新です。いえーい。家もかなりアンパックして、昨日もスーパーボウルを友達とみましたよ。

Our internet is back! We can see sunrise from our apt! Although you have to put your body outside of the window to see the entire sun ;) But it makes me feel very energetic to wake up with the sunrise!

リビングは、引き続き抹茶色にしました。前回も気に入ってて飽きなかったので。リラックスするし。１面だけ緑に。

We decided to keep the color of Matcha green in the living room. We never get tired of the color from the last apartment! As soon as we painted the color, it is odd but we felt like we are at home :)

友達に助けにきてもらったペイントぬり。（ありがと）グレーを狙ってたんだけど、かなりブルーグレー。これはこれでいいんだけど、当初の狙いはもっとチャーコルグレーだったので、微妙な心境。でもきれいなんです、、。たぶん当分これで、１年ぐらいしたら塗り替え？でもさわやかで、いいです。

My friends came help painting the wall! originally I was going for the darker gray but it turned out more towards blue gray. I still like the color but maybe I will repaint it after a while!? not sure. It may look different after we put everything up.

さらば親しみのある部屋。Bye Bye our beloved studio.

とうとう、、引っ越ししまして、（って前回どこまで書いたかすでに忘れた）この１週間もう体力勝負で、爪はぼろぼろ、背中は痛いし、アザが気づいたらいたるところ、髪にはペンキ、、すさまじい状況です。色々な友達のおかげで、引っ越しは思っていたよりも短時間で終わり、（４時間ぐらい？）現在は新居をいろいろ片付け中。とりあえず今回は前の家の様子を、、どうぞ。

Finally we are settling at the new place! We have been cleaning so much this past week and my back hurts, my nails are destroyed (well I don't have pretty colored nail to begin with.. but) my hair got wall paint,,, We have been working on it a lot. We have just cleared old place, very sentimental. We have had many friends over, a lots of fun, lots of memory at this place. It was at the first floor, high ceiling, and a loft space. I still remember the day we picked this spot! It was rainy day and we didn't think we would find an apt on that day.

さすがに４年近くすんだ家なので、思い出いっぱい。片付ける時はなんとなくセンチになりました。1階の部屋でぼろいけど、広め、いいスペースで友達もたくさん来てくれて、いろんなことしました。飲んだり、料理したり、ゲームしたり誕生日会やったり、ニコを飼ったのもこの家！

親しみのある家だったが、水漏れしたり、朝お湯はでなかったり、引っ越して来た後に隣にうるさい人気のバーができたり、上のパーティーオーガナイザーがすげーうるさかったり、一回はブライアンがきれて、天井を蹴ったら天井に穴があいた！（ロフトなので、天井が近い。）あんまりメンテも良くなかったのでいい加減いらいらしていたところでした。卒業のタイミングだったのです。さて、この家を離れ、新しい家は、また写真アップします。

Although we were very attached to this place, I am very happy to move to this place right now! Our neighbour was getting loud all the time, water was sometime leaking, we didn't get hot water all the time... I think we were getting tired of the situation. It was the time to move on. More pictures coming later.

スタジオでバースデー

スタジオといっても色々ありますが、はい。音楽スタジオです。なんでかっていうと。彼はよく悪友達と金曜日にジャムしにいくんだけど。その友達の３０の誕生日という事で。お祝いしに行った訳です。

私は以前付き合っていた人がバンドマンだったので、わりと日本のいろんなベニューやアメリカも行った事があるのですが（本当良く行ってた、周りバンドマンだらけだったし、家でレコーディングしてたし）それ以来って言う感じで久しぶりだったんだけど。なんでこう、ライブハウスとか、スタジオってみんな同じ感じなんだろね〜。こうステッカーいっぱい貼ってあってうすぐらーくて、やる気ナークて、中は熱い、みたいな。笑

平日だったので、１時間だけ良い部屋をかりてみんなで楽器で遊びました。楽しかったです。

主役の彼には、これの前に民衆レストランに連れて行くのに「すごいいいところに行くから一丁らで来てね。」と言ったため、彼は一人で良いスーツを着ていてナイスでした〜。こんな誕生日もいいですね。

ところで、、、明日引っ越し！！！疲れる〜。思った以上に荷物が出てくる。でも明日で終わりだ！！！上のやつらは相変わらずうるさいしさっさと出てきたいわ。とかいいながら、４年も住んだので片付けながら卒業式のような気分になりました。（かけてた曲も切なかったからだ）上のやつらはうるさくて、、、それも今回引っ越す理由ですが。一度彼が「うるさいっ！」と言って天井を蹴って大きな穴をぽっこりあけました。（ロフトなので、ベッドが天井に近い）まだその穴は開いており、、２年半ぐらい写真やポスターでごまかしていたのですが、さすがに補修中です。色々な思い出があったな。

Snow day for dogs

Dogs always get so excited when it snows! It snowed a little yesterday morning and they loved it!

忙しい１週間

いよいよ引っ越しも今週末ということで、大家さんと話したり、新しい家へ行ってみたり、仕事から帰って来ては荷造りであっという間に木曜日。。今日は友達のバースデーパーティーでこういう１週間に限って仕事が終わらず残業！珍しく１０時頃まで会社に残って普段仕事していないつけが、、、。こういう時に限って全てが忙しくなるのです。ところで、以前も書きましたが、会社の新しいウェブサイトにブログコーナー作ってもらっています。できたらみんな見てね〜。２月頃に公開になるらしい。それも相変わらずくだらないのでよくコーナーにしてくれたなと思うわ。

Measuring at the New Apt.

Today we got the key to the place finally~~!! hoo hoo! and then took Nico to the place for the first time. We have windows in bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and livingroom which I LOVE and I think Nico loved it as well. I have only seen the place at night, and cannot wait to see it under the day light!

今日は家の鍵をもらいにいきまして、初めてニコを連れて行ったよ。窓がたくさんあるんだけど（今のところもあるんだけど、1階なので解放できないし、ほこりがすごい！）ニコも気に入った模様。

We measured and see where we should put our furniture, It's going to be a little tighter than now but it's ok! I have a bedroom now, with big closets...

今日は色々、家具の大きさとかを計りにいきました。今のところよりもすこ〜しきつい感じになるけど、ベッドルームが別になるからいいよね。今はロフトなので、仕切りがないわけです。ベッドルームもちゃんと広いし、ウォークインクローゼットが２個あるので収納も普通のアパートよりたっぷり。NYのアパートは驚く程収納がないところばかりなのです。

実際よりもよく見える夜景の写真。ベッドルームからの景色、左がエンパイアー。写真には入ってないけど、右の方にごーーーんとでかい水のタンクがあり、NYらしいっちゃぁ、らしいわ。でも普通のゴージャスな16階の景色とはかけ離れて景色のよくない位置ですが、今の1階よりは、、断然ましです。笑　早く引っ越したい、、、片付けの写真を見せようと思ってとったんだけど、汚さ過ぎて載せる勇気がありませんでした。

Hawk、鷹また来る

今週末は天気がよくて、外にいても痛々しい感じがせず、土曜日はニコの散歩でずっと外にいました。マイナスにならないと大分楽なんだよねぇ。又寒くなるみたいだけど。

この季節になると、毎年近所に鷹が飛んでくる。あんまりそれがどれだけすごいことなのか実はよく分かってないんだけど。（笑）たくさん写真とってる人がいたので、私も、、、とってみた。（愛鳥会みたいな人たちがすごいレンズでとってるわけです）まあ、普通の鳥に比べて大分でかいわな。（それだけ！？）

This weekend was fairly warm and I was hanging out outside a lot with Nico on Sat. At the dog park, the hawk was hanging out too and I took a picture since everyone was taking one.. hahaha. I think around this time of the year, we always see hawks in manhattan. I guess it's rare?

And we finally went to see AVATAR at imax-3D theater. It was great movie though a bit too long for me. I loved the nature environment that they created! It was sooo beautiful. and also I liked watching it in 3D so much better with Imax theater. I thought I could touch stuff... Above is boys waiting for the AVATAR in a line. It is still so crowded.

アバター日本でも公開されてますか？こっちでもすごい人気で、まだ売り切れ続出（特に3Dシアター。）ちょっと長かったけど自然もすごくきれいで、３D効果もよく生かされてたように思います。

日本のメディアは忘れた？ハイチ震災

日本のテレビは見られないので分からないですが、ウェブサイトでチェックする限りまるで日本のメディアはハイチの話は忘れたかのような、、小沢の話で持ち切り。アメリカではまだチャリティが一生懸命いたるところで行われ（少々チャリティがコモディティ化しているところは気持ち悪いが）テレビでも２４時間テレビのように特集され、主要新聞も映像と画像で、震災のひどさを伝え続けている。

ここに借りた写真は、NY Timesのオンラインで見られる写真の一部だけど、崩れたホテルに挟まった死体、街中で焼かれる死体、放置されたままの死体、、、こんなにショッキングなことが世界で起きているのに、小沢氏の話が連日トップで報道されるところが、すごい。ハイチのハの字も消えかけてるし。。日本のジャーナリズムって、って思う。

大阪のひったくり、横浜の火事、首相の足を引っ張るような記事、、がこんな悲惨な状況を差し押さえてトップ面にくるって尋常じゃないわ。アメリカは地理的にハイチに近いのもあるけど、、普通人間として一つの国が壊滅状態に近いって、、伝えたいとか、助けたいとか、、そういう力は働かない、、わけ？アメリカを褒めた絶える訳じゃなくて、日本のメディアの反応のなさにびっくり。

Packing...and thinking the paint color

I totally forgot how it goes to move. We lived here almost 4 years and it's the longest time since I came to U.S. When I was in college, I would almost move every year and didn't own any big furniture... We live in a small space so I would like to think we have less stuff than usual moving but still...! Ah! garbage garbage garbage... I guess I lived with garbage for a long time.

Also thinking what color to paint next apt. We really like the green we have right now in the living room, so I think we gonna keep that color. Now, we are going to have a bed room so need to paint! (I mean, you don't have to but we would love to!) I am thinking warm grayish color like above, neutral and calming. What do you think?

引っ越しです。思い出してきましたよ、この荷造りの大変さというものを！！段ボールをかきあつめ（買うと高い。）細かいものをしまい、捨てまくり、本は重いし、、早速つかれてます。引っ越し面倒くさい！！でも早く新しいところへ行きたい。家がだんだん箱だらけになってきます。

で、壁を何色にしようか色々考えているんだけど。。男の人と住むと、やたらかわいくもできないし、（人によるだろうけど）合意に達するのがたまに大変。今リビングルームのオリーブグリーンみたいな抹茶色は気に入ってるので、そのままキープして、ベッドルームは写真のような明るめのグレーはどうかなーと考えているよ。でもまた実際にペンキ買いにいったら悩むんだろうな、、、

Moving! 引っ越します。

We are moving! yes... we have been thinking about it past few years and we actually just started looking for the place last Sunday. Monday was holiday so we did look at 4-5 apartments and we had no luck. When we came back from the all-day long tiring apt search, we found this posting on the craigslist and it was exactly where we wanted to move! I called the realtor and luckily the broker was around the site, he showed us the place around 7pm, and we decided to take it yesterday. What a Martin Luther King holiday!

We did spend a lot of time last year to find a place but our search was not success and we did not think the timing was right. We waited for a year and we've decided to move on although we have affection to this apt which we have almost lived for 4 years! Part of the reason was I really wanted a separate bed room, I got tired of climbing up and down our loft bed. It is hard to clean, no privacy, ... It looks cool and efficient space use though def. Originally our plan was to move on March 1st but we are moving the end of this month! We will update more on the new place once we get a key!

アパート探しを週末に本格的に始めた、と思ったら見つけました。去年も探して見つからず、ここ数年引っ越したいとしばらく考えてたので、お金はかかりますが嬉しい！場所は今のところからそんなに離れていませんが、１ベッドルームで今度は16階！そんなに高いところに住む予定は全くなかったのですが、これはたまたま。普通は高いアパート程値段も高いのですが、ここはリーズナブルだったというラッキー。３月頭に引っ越す予定だったのが、いろいろ事情で今月末に引っ越す事になり、ドタバタなりそうです、パッキングしないとやばい。まぁ、近いので結構簡単に終わりそう。そんなに大きな家具もないし。とにかくお金かかるので、、貯金せねば。ちなみに家賃は気持ち安くなってますが、まだ全然高く、探している最中には強制撤去で差し押さえられた物件もいくつかあり、そう言うところにはドアに警察のステッカーが貼ってあり「立ち入り禁止」となっているので、最初はなにか殺人事件でもあったのかと思い驚きました。やっぱまだ景気悪いわ。
