I slept so much today, i was having a tiring week last week. I had a job review and it went pretty good, (I mean, it's first year, I have to do good....) so I am glad it's over! at least I have a job, which is blessing right now in this economy.
Oh! and I am going on a business trip to Japan from 4/4- for 2 weeks. Last time I went back was last Feb. so it has been an year already! This time, I need to renew my visa and also attending my best friends' wedding. 2 weeks and I will be working so it will go super quick. I hope I get to see as many as people I want to!
Yesterday, I saw this street performer on the subway, the one who uses the poles in the subway and do kind of like break dancing. He was pretty young and did okay dance, and after that like every other street performer he took his hat and went around for changes. He also asked everyone for applause saying "Hey people, let's give me some applause! It's not that hard!" but you know it's New York. People pretend that they didn't see or hear anything.
Although a few people gave him applause. As he goes around he never seem to be upset if people don't give him money, kept his upbeat spirit, and thanked everyone in the car. This is the same for every performer but I cannot imagine showing what you got, try your best dance and getting ignored by people, who is right in front of you. It is a tough thing even though one must get used to it after a while. Seeing him with uplifted spirit, I thought that's something I always admire for street performer. Whatever they do, they believe in themselves and never give up, and keep going.
