Face time with Nico. I think she sees me and hear me and recognize me..but cannot speak. (of course.) It is really funny. I love face time and ip phone...! it is free and works great.

Central Park Fun
Before I left for Japan, we decided to take her to central park in morning! since we were away for a while and we wanted her to hang out at the big park. Nico met this rottweiler puppy! (on the right is Nico, she is looking at the puppy like WTF?) Rott is so adorable.... anyway. We bumped into Nico's best friend maddie (below) too, what a coincidence! we had a good hour hanging out there. I will miss her while I will be in Japan.
今日は、空港へ行く前にセントラルパークへお出かけしました。ニコに大きい公園で遊んでほしく。初夏は気持ちいですが、NYのほうがまだ寒めです。（今東京にいます）朝は、ロットワイラーの子犬に会いました。（写真上、左が子犬！）下の写真は、なんとばったり大の友達のマディーに会う。２人とも大興奮でした。やっぱり芝生だと、遊び方のダイナミックが違うんだよね。セントラルパークがもっと近いといいんだけど、タクシーか、車借りないと、無理。充実した朝の１時間をわんこたちは過ごしたのでした。

ニコ泳ぐの巻。First swimming in the... dirty pond
Finally it is getting hot! We took Nico to central park last Sat. and she had such a fun. Whenever we take her to camping or near water, she never go in. She sometimes goes into the still water like a lake, but never swim. So! we were so surprised when she went in the water and swam in the (dirty) central park pond!!!! so amazing... I should have took a video. I think before she went in the water voluntarily, she slipped walking on the ledge of the pond and I think she accidentally fell. we are not sure. but anyway, I am so happy I captured the moment! she looks serious swimming, doesn't she??

つ、ついた〜〜〜！！！
泳いだ！！！セントラルパークの（汚い）池で。普段泳いだ事のない彼女が、他の犬を見てか、なんだか水にはいって泳いで来た。キャンプ何回かいったけど、水の動かない湖とかは、足ぐらいまでつかりにいくけど、今回見たいに泳いだのは初めて！！見えにくいけど、泳いでる彼女の目はかなり真剣です。（笑）ご想像の通り、あがったら、くっさ〜〜。しかも洗おうと思ったら、お店がイースターで閉まっていて、家に帰って来て一生懸命洗ったのでした。

Nico's habit these days. 最近のニコの動向
We have a routine work to do in morning. I usually walk her before the work, and usually to the river. She likes to go to this bench and sit down there and meditate for a while. She does insist to stay there! so, I do the same. Just for a few minutes of peace in morning is really amazing. It will calm you down and I think she feels the same!
Also she likes to find a stick on the way home and bring it back home. I am taking a picture of her with every stick... She seems to like good fat stick. She never pick up a skinny stick. As soon as she gets to elevator, she drops it and I know she considers the elevator part of her home. Isn't that funny. She doesn't bring it in the apartment usually so I have to toss the stick in the garbage can, which is kind of odd....
最近のニコの日課は、川沿いへ行って、朝メディテーションすることです。ここに寄らないと、帰りたくないという。メディテーションしてるのか知らないが、私はしている！朝の３分だけですが、太陽を浴びて何も考えないのは、かなり気持ちが良い！すべてから解放されるその３分が１日をスタートさせるのでした。そして、彼女は最近帰り道に、お気に入りの枝を見つけて家まで運びます。うちはアパートですから、どこまでが家なのかなと思っていると、エレベーターにのると、その中で枝を落として、硬直したアゴをストレッチさせます。エレベーターは彼女にとっての安全地域なようです。家にもって入る事は余ないので、枝をゴミ箱に捨てるのですが、それが都会っぽい行為で、会社の前に、ゴミ箱に枝を捨てる私は、（しかもリサイクルじゃない方）いつも不思議な感じがしてなりません。外にいっても、アスファルトだから、枝を投げる、っていうわけにはいかないんだよねこれ。

Nico's Weekend with a rabbit
Nico meets Eagon again! our friend's rabbit. He is older than Nico. She was very very curious. Couldn't leave him alone.
Recently we got her a rabbit toy... so I was a bit worried, but she totally understand Eagon was not a toy. very good...
ニコ、友人、じゃなくて友兎のイーゴンに再会。最近うさぎのぬいぐるみを買い与えたばかりだったので、少々心配でしたが、やはりペットの兎、と分かるようで、興味津々にしていました。ほっ。

雨の中たそがれ
そして、、、出会ったのは！ニコではなく、「あきみち」くん。白人のおばちゃん連れてるのに名前がド日本で驚くわたし。テンカンを７分以上前に察知できるように訓練された、かしこーーーい犬です。ニコとは格が違う。
We met this dog looks like Nico, but far... trained. very smart! His name is so Japanese, "Akimichi" (but owner is a very American lady) and he can alert epilepsy happens before 7 minutes. He must go through hard training to do that. Amazing... dogs are very smart and I love them...

私のパンツを食べてるのは誰？Who is eating my undie...?
またやられた、、、、、。これで5回は起りました、saknakパンツ食いちぎられ事件。なぜか。。。たまに洗濯かごを物色し、私のパンツを選び、食いちぎるのです！で、帰ってくると申し訳なさそ〜な顔をして、出てくるのですね、、どうしてブライアンのトランクスではなくて、私のパンツなのだ！！恨みでもあんのかなー。（笑）でもこの申し訳なさそうな顔（２枚目）かわいいでしょ、、、。全く又パンツ買わねば。
She did it again! She has done this (ripping my underwear) for at least...hmm 5 times now! Occasionally she just pulls out mine from the laundro basket and play with it I guess!? Why is it mine, not my fiance's?! but I love the "I'm sorry face" she makes. I think she knows that she is not supposed to do this.

Central Park Day
Yesterday, I took Nico to central park with a friend. Central park is open for off leashed dogs before 9am! which is really great since there are not very many parks where we can off leash dogs in NYC. and Central Park is so giant, they can run as much as they want.
セントラルパークの犬アワーに行ってきました。ここの家から歩くと、ちょっと結構あるので、タクシーでさ。朝の９時前に行かないといけないから早起き。9時前は犬が自由に走り回れます。セントラルパークは広いから最高です。ニコも走りまくり。
Nico meets Akita. It's amazing how many dogs are in the city.
すごい犬がたくさんいるので、色々な犬と出会います。
Dogs can also hang out at the cafe outside. It was almost like a zoo. I had a cup of coffee to go and it was nice. Unfortunately during summer dogs cannot go to the grassiest area but it was still a great walk in morning. Nico got exhausted afterwards.
公園の中にあるカフェも、動物園状態。この写真だと分かりにくいけど犬がうろうろうろ。朝だけだと思うけど。ニコもカフェうろうろしてて、はらはらしました。

Trader Joe's toy
Nico loves toys to rip! I guess that's what dogs do. This is her second 100% wool Trader Joe's dog bone. She loves it and it's already ripped... it is good wool and also coconut shreds are inside. Huh.
にこちゃん、おもちゃ破壊大魔王。それが彼らの仕事なので、しょうがないですが。こういうぬいぐるみが大好きなんだよね！！そんで破りつづけるの。これは、ウール100％で、中にココナッツシュレッドが入っています。素敵。

春間近、ていうか春なの？Spring has come?
春の訪れ、木に毛が生えて来た感じ。
It stays lighter outside, it was taken like 6am. It feels very warm these days but the weather forecast said it's supposed to snow tomorrow!
あったかいんですが、明日雪とか言ってる、信じられん。
ニコの窓覗きタイムをぱちり。
The field that I went a lot during summer got closed in order to seed the new grass. I go to this dog park almost every morning to meet Nico's best friend. (she has appeared here many times by now! )
いつも行ってた芝生が、夏に向けて野球用に新しい芝生を植えるので、もう行けなくなってしまった。なので、最近は又昔から行ってるドッグパークへ、親友のマディに会いに行きます。
いとこっぽいでしょ私たち。

Nico's play date
友達の犬のロッコが遊びにきた。お父さん達（ゲイなので。）がヨガの間に面倒をみてあげたわけ。かわいいぃ。人肌恋しいらしく、すぐすりよってくる。ニコはあんまりそういうことしない。
